Gratitude is due

Today I spent this morning driving around, finding myself with alot of time to think. I came to the conclusion that I am really really excited and inspired. I am currently setting up with a municipality to distribute menstrual cups through 5 clinics. My cups will finally be going to the women who truly need them. They will have their dignity restored as these are the ladies who currently use rags, toilet paper and even newspaper at times.  I am driven to replicate this system I am setting up across South Africa and eventually the whole of the African continent. I cannot begin to imagine how their lives will be changed by just this one small product.  This ripple effect in turn alleviates the costs of the municipality in terms of health care in the clinics for infections, less demand on the water sanitation systems and sewerage systems and refuse collection will be reduced. Not to mention the cash saved on buying sanitary ware will be in their pockets and not down the toilet-so to speak. My wish is for MPower menstrual cups to impact all women of the world!

    Hey Glenda
I got home from you an hour ago, with pre-menstrual cramps, and immediately boiled and sterilized my cup. A friend visited and I introduced her to it and she got really excited; she is concerned about the environment, so I gave her one of your flyers and promised to let her know how it worked. She left and I went to insert it. There are no gory details! I folded it, as in the diagram, in it went, and I can hardly feel it. I am amazed. I thought that at least the first time it would be a bit strange, but no. I am sitting here working and totally MPowered! Thank you.

    hello!

i was just wondering what your marketing plan is for the distribution of mpower cups to parts of africa where women touching themselves in any way is seen as taboo. in many of these areas, vaginal penetration of any kind prior to marriage (including the use of tampons) is forbidden or held with great suspicion, and where an intact hymen is such a concern.

i myself am a cup user and i think that cup use would be a blessing in many developing areas. i am just curious as to how positive the response is going to be in areas where women are under more strict sexual mores. have you already encountered this? if so, what was the response?

good luck with your endeavors! i am excited to watch your progress!

    best,
    hj
